Am of the belief that if something was originally shot and transmitted in 4:3 it should stay that way. I can live with the black bars at the sides of the screen. I mean we put up with black bars at top and bottom of screen for widescreen films didn't we.

I have my three Columbo sets up for sale on Ebay. Hoping someone will buy all three. Only asking for £50 per set. 5 days to go. Search for them there.

The seller was jagsmanuk.

So the seller was in fact the shill bidder mentioned in this thread :
Is this really worth more than £20?

Looks like you WERE the only real bidder.

Possibily. I did report the listings for shill bidding but ebay did nothing.

It wasn't mikem9755 though. The feedback number doesn't match. And the other bidder had 0% activity with the seller. So unless there is another account they use I don't think I was the only real bidder.

All are complete and near mint still in original plastic wraps.
Those are all late PILF-28** series titles too released in the year 2000 but there was almost no demand for them now in Japan because space is more precious in Japan.

I always wondered who keeps items in their orginal plastic wrap 15 years after something more or less died. I can imagine if it was a collector's item but VHSs and LDs that are worth less than $5 is amazing

The boxsets I was referring to came in loose re-sealable tough plastic wraps and were already opened so it makes complete sense to retain them in those wraps unless you want them ending up covered in scuffs and scratches. Getting suitable covers for larger boxsets isn't that easy as they tend to be non standard sizes so the wraps that they came in are often the best you could get.

oh ok, but you can still find brand new ones. I got Hackers VHS a couple of years ago with original wrap(or so the seller says).
