I found a Pioneer VS-60 A/V selector which I had never before seen or heard Pioneer having.

I hook it up its great except for the constant scrolling line on the TV or when the input device (VCR or LDP) is off it sometimes flickers. Anybody know what the problem is? Is it too close to the TV?

3 things that i can think of.

1 there is something wrong with any power supply that goes to this new device.
2 the cables may be an issue, they may work fine, but when you plug another cable in you get the problem.
3 its just the unit.

i have a new DVD recorder that i picked up for 5 bucks, it stoped working for DVD playback after 3 days.
everything else works fine, even records and plays back DVD-R.

issue i have is that when i had my LD hooked into it while waiting for some cables i had a rolling line also.
i think its an issue with too many things chained, i sort of remember the daisy chain effect back in the day with VCRs
so it could be the same type of thing????

it could be the power supply. I have better switchers and other ways to input my gear. I kinda just bought it as a curiosity kinda piece.

yeah, the switcher i have is just that, no power going to the unit.
they are just sort of fun and not amazing. but will help if you have better cables to go distances without an AV receiver.

I can use a switcher when I need to but I don't have to many components hooked up. Since I have a SVHS and DVHS VCRs hooked up I might use those inputs.

I changed cables and while it turned on nothing was outputted. I may have gotten this at the end of its life.
