Hello all,

I've been messin' around with my new display for LD.

Well it is new to me anyway. I picked this baby up, with help of course, for $25.

It's not as sharp as my LCD but I think that lends itself to LD. This analog display has top shelf black levels and phenomenal colors. I wish I could take good enough pictures to allow you to see how this display looks but here's some examples of LD and then Blu-ray.

LD

Fabulous black levels.

And natural bright colors.

Blu-ray looks pretty darn good too.

I was looking for a CRT TV but this came up first and I am able to get a 72" screen.

nice, I always wanted one of these, but at the time I was moving too much and decided on a DLP projector.
which model is it??
also curt palm has some great add ons for them, to even somehow upscale it to 1080 but that's all I remember.

they will last almost forever ;)

Thanks rein-o, it is a VPH1252Q.
I have already spent hours on the Curt Palme site, a must if you a adventurous enough to try CRT. I spent the whole first day just reading the install manual. I think you could spend the rest of your life adjusting the picture but I am satisfied with the picture, for now. ;)
