With some recorders, yes.

Guess this depends on the TBC? At least when experimenting here at home, the macrovision and teletext/CC signals would get removed when I passed the signal through my Leitch DPS-575. If you use a DVD recorder, I guess it depends on the internal TBC (if it has any).

Ok, I'll try it. My LD of the movie FM has captions, I'll give it a shot. FM has been OOP on DVD for years and is expensive.
