Post subject:  DLP vs LCD vs LED Projectors

I want to hook my CLD-79 to a projector, but don't have the space for a CRT. Is there any difference in the final image between a DLP, LCD, or LED projector?

Thanks

Oh boy, there are lots of differences between the 3 types you mentioned.
But really you are going to have to search on the internet and figure for yourself what is best.

Screen door, rainbow, those are the only two off the top of my head.
Good luck with it, I had to search for a full year to finally pick the right projector for me at the time with my budget.

LCOS is the type most suitable for LD or anything analog (Best overall for anything really). Two manufacturers emerge much better than the others. JVC called their LCoS version D-ILA and Sony calls it SXRD. JVC is the native contrast champion period. No other projector reaches the black levels/detail of the JVC projector. JVC does that natively without dynamic Iris (Lens dynamically allowing more or less light depending on the what's on the screen). Sony is well known for its video processing and motion processing, perhaps the only brand with high refresh rate without the soap opera effect.
