8€ delivery for me Seems interesting to get, but then again, I don't have any means of recording LD.

Seems a bit much to get just for one disc, I imagine it would cheaper and simpler to just get a video capture device. Probably not worth the trouble anyway if it was a PDO UK pressing. Having said that I noticed on the image showing the LD sleeve that there were addresses for PDO France as well as UK, did they also have a disc manufacturing plant in France too? Also I wonder why such high postage costs (€24) when shipping only to neighbouring countries such as Germany, Belgium, UK etc.? 3 times the domestic rate!

For that VHS is all that’s needed as any real fan of either format well knows (I had way more copies of LDs than actual LDs in the 90s). If I planned to put it on the internet somewhere I wouldn’t use a VCR.

Well I don't see the point in recording an LD if it's not to archive it "digitally" (and/or on the internet) so I didn't saw the point in specifying that. Anyway, the listing has ended, don't know if it was sold or not though.

No PDO pressing plant in France unless I am way off the mark but pretty sure I am not in this case. They had pressing plants in the UK & the Netherlands - Philips PDO in Blackburn & in the Netherlands - Philips PDO Eindhoven. I think the Eindhoven plant was used more for test pressing & research & development rather than mass production - anyone who knows more on this please clarify. Cheers.

I was curious when it was posted here, may be interesting & if it is a PAL disc I have no problems with that. I contacted the seller & the post cost was set at a more reasonable level so took the plunge. When it gets to me I will post details on what it contains. It has been ages since I purchased any LDs so this one is down to you rein-o ! Cheers .

laserfanhld-gb wrote: Well done you getting the shipping costs reduced je280! I would have made a move towards purchasing had it not been for that €24 postage. I too like rein-o and yourself am rather intrigued by this disc let's just hope its main feature isn't a PDO UK speciality snowstorm accompanied by garbled audio Yes & I have got my fingers crossed on that too, hopefully it is playable - expecting a few dots though! I will update on the contents when it gets to me & has been spun. Cheers for now .
