handful, always a handful. handful of films on VHS that never made it to laserdisc or DVD. handful of films on LD that never made it to DVD or bluray. handful of films on DVD that never made it to bluray on and on. actually I got night of the comet from Netflix, the DVD was NOT from a CED print as some have said and its actually pretty clear. haven't checked recently but i'm sure it will be on bluray sooner or later, they are pumping stuff on that format now. ________________________________ the rein-o official signature:

Yup, Scream Factory put out a Blu-Ray a year ago. From the review screenshots I've seen, it's definitely not from a CED - or any other SD source.

Happycube covered my mistake I meant to say it's on bluray, haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Were these mostly lower budget or less popular movies? I used to check out Night of the Comet regularly as a kid. It's a movie I looked for when I first started collecting ld, only to find out it never existed. Makes me wonder how many more there are. Night of the Comet is actually on LD . . . http://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?p=27747#p27747

elieb wrote: johnny dangerously isn't on laserdisc, and it's only on CED, DVD and VHS Hmm, see that seems like a movie that would have been on laserdisc. Though I like Michael Keaton, so slight bias. In the grand scheme of things it may have not been that popular.
