I don't own a Neo Geo however I did complete NAM 1975 many years ago. I really love this game. It has an awesome soundtrack and a really nice atmosphere
PLUS it was the first Neo Game ever to be released.

I owned a NEO-GEO MVS a really long time ago...
My fave game on it was Neo-Bomberman.
Yeah, you can debate me but I do not like Beat 'em ups at all.

Man i loved neo bomberman, one of the best bomber ports.
I could never finish Nam 1975 how did you do that????
When i owned a 4 slot sit down candy machine i played the crap out of it.
Sengoku 2 was amazing as well.
Only fighting i really liked from neo was Samurai Showdown.
I think i had about 15 or 20 MVS games, Metal Slug was a great series too.

I also had an MVS motherboard once with a decent deal of games, but frankly, I remember barely finding beat em' ups for it. That is unless you count fighting as beat em' up of course, which I'm not.

I honestly don't remember how many hours I spent on Money Puzzle Exchanger. Fantastic game.

I have a JP AES with about 7 games and 2 full size controllers. Metal Slug 4. KOF '96 is all I play..

Wouldn't mind picking up 'Nam 1975 and some other shooters to vary my collection from mostly fighters.

Paid a lot less than current evilbay prices. Picked up most of my stuff at Hard Off when I lived in Jpn.

Got some Neo Geo stuff. Not exactly a large collection of games, but they're kind of expensive. I have ordered a flash cart, so I'll at least be able to play everything available. I also have a converter (Daedalus) so I can play MVS games on my AES.

Hardware:
Neo Geo AES (UniBIOS 3.2 (should probably upgrade it soon))
Neo Geo CD (stock)
AES Memory Card
Original Neo Geo full size controller
Neo Geo CD controller
Neo Geo Advanced Pro controller
RGB cable
Power cables

Games:
MVS:
Metal Slug
Metal Slug 2
Aero Fighters 2

AES:
Art of Fighting
Art of Fighting 2
Crossed Swords
Fatal Fury 2
Fatal Fury 3
Fatal Fury Special
Fighter's History Dynamite
King of Fighter's '95
King of Fighter's '96
King of Fighter's '99
Nam-1975
Samurai Spirits
Samurai Spirits 2
World Heroes 2

CD:
Fatal Fury Special
Ninja Commando
Sonic Wings 3
Top Hunter
+ some bootlegs

Did you replace the original AV cable? Mines starting to rust and sound is degrading.

Can anyone recommend the best replacement? PS I don't have SCART on my TV.

Wow, you got a slide tray Neo CD. Those are pretty rare. I think I ready in Diehard Gamefan magazine way back in the day that they only made 25,000 of those units.

I had a US AES console for a short while, but sold it because an joystick and/or the games I wanted for it would cost as much as I paid for the console!

Had a top loading Neo Geo CD for a while, but sold it to my cousin a year or so ago after the Samurai Shodown Anthology came out for the PS2 (my main reason for getting one was for Samurai Shodown II--my favorite fighting game of all time.)

One of my biggest regrets in life was at this arcade auction I attended once. I used to go to those just to play the games for free during the testing time. One of them had a six slot Neo Geo cabinet with Super Dodge Ball in it. I so wanted to get it, but didn't think I could afford it or have a place to put it.

I checked the website later to see what it sold for . . . US$80.

I should have bought it!!!!!

Is it that rare? I bought it from a chap in Hong Kong a few years ago. Can't recall what I paid, but not much. Sometimes it won't load the disc, which is annoying. If I give it a little tap on the top I hear a click and it spins up. Perhaps something in the mechanical part of the loading which could use some new grease. Other than that, it works great. Funny enough it isn't picky with burned CDs. The PS1, PC Engine etc is really picky on the burn speed.

Nice. I would love to be able to add titles to my set. But Neo procurement is waaaay down the list of priorities at the moment. I DID however finally upgrade my AV cable with a replacement from ebay. Best $8 I've spent, completely fixed the audio/video problems I was having with my rusting original cable.

Where did you get SSIII and KOF'98? How much did you pay?

I have a cmvs here and a 161 in one cart

Nothing like having just about every game and real arcade controllers for about the same price as an aes.

Nothing like sliding in that massive cartridge imo. It's part of the fun of physical media which we all love and really takes you back to the '90s. Personally I imagine I'm a rich playboy living in 1994.

Whereas in actual 1994 I was a poor kid in his mid teens who sold p0rn mags at school to afford a SNES..my friends with jobs were importing JP Playstations at that point.. :x You could hire Neo Geos for parties and the rich kid from Hong Kong at our school had a console and tons of games at his parents mansion. That kid had everything, g-shock watches, air jordan sneakers and walkmans with the backlit LED remote controls :x

My Neo Geo flash cart finally arrived today. Hacked a crappy MVS shell that housed a Puzzle Bobble bootleg. Unfortunately I ran into problems on the first try. It doesn't boot, just get some corrupted (and sometimes psychedelic) graphics. Guess I have to do some troubleshooting. Very typical my luck to buy something expensive and have trouble afterwards. Recently got my power stereo amplifier replaced on warranty after fighting for almost a year, and now this flash cart doesn't cooperate. Hopefully it will turn out to be a simple user error from my part.
