I think Back to the Future should be on the short list.

The capture PC is built and running as of this weekend. I have put together all components, finished cable management, installed OS and all SW. Currently overclocked at 4.8Ghz, later will attempt 5.0Ghz. Here some pictures below.

Corsair 2x16GB DDR4 Ram
MSI GTX 1080 8GB (Water Cooled)
2x1TB Samsung 960 Pro M.2 SSD in Raid0
Asus Tuf Z270 Mark I Motherboard
Corsair AX1200I 1200W PSU
Black Magic Design Intensity 4K Pro PCI-E 4K Capture Card

MS Windows 10 Pro
BMD DaVinci Resolve
BMD Media Express

NEXT:

-Look into upgrading the power section of the Sony MSC-4000 MUSE Decoder.
-Attempt the first capture trial.

Note: I also purchased a new Sony OLED. I will be busy calibrating it this week. I can try a MUSE capture early next week;) The winner from the above poll will be captured first.

Nice build! I remember that you were using a MacBook before. Are you switching over to PC completely or is it just for this project?

The i7-7700K is an awesome CPU by the way. I'm extremely satisfied with my 4770K and would love to upgrade but then I'd need to get a new motherboard and some DDR4 memory. The GTX 1080 is also excellent. I was close to get one but ended up buying the 1070 since I'm only gaming in 1080p.

Thanks. I was(still am) using both PC and Mac. I don't game at all so none were video/graphics oriented. The macbook pro had thunderbolt inputs. That's why I was thinking of using it however I realized it was underpowered for the task.

This new built is my main computer now. The gpu is strictly for this project as I won't be gaming on it. Its going to be my media server, main work computer and HTPC for streaming Fox Soccer 2 Go on to my main 4K display. Fox Soccer 2 Go isn't on any streaming box as an app. They only stream to PC. Currently the only way to watch European soccer in the US.

Noticing a trend in the early votes - favorite movies; BTTF, JP & T2.

Respect the poll; but would love to see the second capture to be one that shows off more of the full potential of muse. From the list perhaps Hills of the Seasons, or you said Ferrari of the Art was very good, and there's a few other scenery discs in there like Alaska I don't have that may be contenders for that too?

T2 is an interesting case as it *may* look very different to other releases, depending on the film source and whether James Cameron was involved in the release.

Substance, are there any liner notes with the T2 MUSE release that mention the film transfer?

(I voted for T2, Cliffhanger and BTTF)

Thank you. I wanted it to look good. I paid a lot of attention to cosmetics. I ordered custom cables and made some of them myself. I made the custom back plate for the capture card and some side surface covers for the radiators.

Once I master the process, I will probably capture all the discs I have. Everything is good on the video side but I don't have a way of capturing all 4 audio channels at once. I need to figure this out before I capture them all.

It looks about the same as the squeeze versions. I voted for JP, T2 and Legends.

I am not looking to make money. Whoever wants to see these will pay for only the material and shipping cost. I doubt anyone wants these to watch the actual films but to see how MUSE handles them.

OK, final modifications are done. Most importantly I had to fix that upside down Corsair AX1200i sticker. Applying a little heat and carefully pealing worked. Also added two SSDs and two HDDs for additional storage(See above picture). I am ready to go for the first test footage. I will give it three days and the champion of the poll above will be captured.

It's great to see things are going so well! That's a very impressive rig you've put together. Are you still planning to capture the multi-channel audio tracks or just the 2-channel matrixed surround?
