Mitsubishi pressing. 1997 THX version. Both sealed, love that smell.

A week or two ago, I saw the documentary "Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films" (on DVD, mind you). It's a great documentary, I highly recommend it to anyone who was a movie nut in the '80s.
Myself, I was a kid of the '80s (even more so, I worked at a movie theater in the late '80s), so most of the movies covered by the documentary were a part of my youth, yet there were quite a few titles that I hadn't seen before, and decided to give them a go.
One of them was Tobe Hooper's "Lifeforce". And for some reason, this movie was begging to be watched on LD. (Am I the only one who thinks that some movies were just meant to be watched on LD?)
So that was my latest acquisition.

Won this classy 80's thriller on bidding war cheaply. F/X (1986) [LDD 1003] be spinning here before end of the month.

I already had the VHS and CED copies so this LD completes my set of "We're All Devo".. Now you need it on Betamax: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Were-All-DEVO-V ... 1881715980An interesting idea except I do not have a Betamax to play the tape on. I know, I know...time to get a Betamax. I just cannot justify buying one when I would have only one tape to play on it. I will think about it.

This one is VERY interesting because it's a beautiful transfer, with digital sound, a Kuraray pressing and NO subtitles of any kind! I saw those listings, they have a bunch of rare looking stuff that I've never seen before but haven't been able to buy anything from them yet.

Just picked up a copy of Twilight of the Cockroaches (1987) [LVD9201]Had this years ago and sold it off, wanted to watch the film again and found out it hasn't been listed on DVD or Bluray as of yet. Odd framing for the film, sort of windowboxed at 2.10 and the image was shifted up for the subtitles.

There was also a brief tv series that was ok - but way under budgeted. I came across about 25 lasers today - managed to find 6 at $4 each that I wanted: Blow Up (Criterion) Heroes Shed No Tears Water and Power Clerks The New Age Foxy Brown
