Thanks, that is the answer I was looking for. I will of-course run directly from my Blu-Ray player / AC3 demodulator through optical.

I currently had a Dolby Digital only 2.1 sound bar and want to upgrade it to a 5.1 one that also has DTS on board. This is the model: SONY HT-RT4

That should work fine to give you what you want. :)

And if you need to add more sources, a simple S/PDIF selector can be added for almost nothing (but I recommend a powered one especially for the optical connections).

If you're thinking of getting into DTS music, there are some great mixes available on-line that you can burn to CD (downrezzed in many cases from SACD or DVD Audio titles).
