Anyone using a Harmony Remote instead of the original remote for the player? I have to since I don't have the original remote nor do I have the model number for the remote to get one. I forgot the Harmony Remote model number that I'm using (380?..not sure) but I can't get all the functions of the CL... |

I was sadden that Criterion changed their website so that the LDs releases were no longer mentioned. But luckily wiki and lddb.com has the lists:) |

I got rid of mine (luckily only one, Immortal Beloved) on ebay that I put as a ridiculous low price with free shipping.. it was like a penny or something and someone took it. |

I realize I probably should have asked this before taking the plunge but oh well.... Does the video improve by connecting a composite video from a CLD-79 or other video source to the VCR then Component out to the receiver which goes HDMI out to the TV? or do I need something like DVDO or whatever fo... |

the program books or Japanese flyers charishi are nice to collect when the movie hits Japanese theaters wish they did come with the LDs though  |

depends on the title. at one time I had every Blade Runner US LD release, 2 VHS, 2 betas and 1 CED plus HD DVD and BD with DVD copies.... |

I feel like I own a something cool and different since DVDs and BDs are now common place. LDs are more of a niche. I like the look and feel of perfection that of a quality release on LD like some of Japan's premium boxes are awesome and so cool to own. Also some of American releases like Nightmare B... |

Best Buy had a whole bunch one time and the next I went in I was like WTF happened to all the MDs and now it seems impossible to find something you really want at a decent price. Almost like SACD in some instances though still far bit cheaper than some. I miss the ninties where they had MDs and Lase... |

I had the movie but unfortunately I had to get rid of some discs before a move. I always thought the movie should be on solely on LaserDisc for some reason. |

I had Cyber Punk which was a Voyager disc at one time that dealt with William Gibson though it felt more like an ad for him though.

I saw that before. He's an idiot if someone is willing to pay that amount. The newer models don't that much and how about Hi-Vision isn't that a bit much to get into that either? you can easily justify getting a bunch of rare titles for that amount but not the damn player even an early one. |
