I know that most of us still miss Disclord/Ty and his knowledge, he forgot more than we will ever know.

But one thing has been on my mind recently, what ever happened to his collection.
I know he had a lot of players, once he posted a picture with what looked like over 15-20 players.
He had some other rare discs and while I can't remember how many he had I wouldn't be shocked to find out he had over 5000 discs.

So back to the title which sums it all up. Did anybody get his collection, or is it out there with non LD lovers :think:

For once we have the Service Manual :-)

And this one refers to DVL-919 RD/RA "AC110-127/220-240V" as "Automatic select":

This needs to be corrected as it states Dolby on LDDB.

Back cover also shows "Ultra Stereo".

Updated, thanks!

Disney made a complete mess with Force awakens and the last Jedi, so I hope they won't ever touch the original trilogy.

Quite an advanced age for a venerable format!

Although there was a pre-production test batch of Jaws back in 1977, the first commercial release hit the market end of 1978 as Jaws (1975) [12-001] .

And somehow, even the first released can still be played today!

Let's see if other formats will still play 40 years after entering the market.

For some reason, *6* seems to be the magic number for new video commercial formats:

DVD -> 1996
HDDVD/BD -> 2006
UHD BD -> 2016

Let's synchronize our watches now and try to play these formats by, respectively, 2036, 2046 and 2056!
