My HLD-X9 is also sensitive to warping.
Even a slightly warped disc might cause video sync to get lost, audio to glitch and some weird shaking video effect to appear.
Usually after letting the disc flat under some reasonable weight for a few days, everything gets back to normal.

Mine for sure has a 12x12 book and glancing at it it looks to have been made for the 15th version.
Some good info in this thread!
Don't hesitate to add the bonus disc contents of the opening/ending versions to Macross: Super Dimension Fortress: 15 Years Anniversary Memorial Box (1982) [BELL-1036] for everyone to share.
Found time to take a pic of the contents (sadly missing the obi on the boxset) but with inserts and phone card.

The CLD-D515 doesn't have a Digital output, I suppose it gets converted to analog and should output on Analog L/R?

You would need to buy the Service Manual (we don't have it yet) online and check the schematics around the audio section with a tester for a broken path.

Thanks to blam1 for pointing out that the Global Shop sub-categories was sending back " Wrong country code, sorry "
The country code itself (ALL) was correct, it's what came after that wasn't!
Ex: %20%27-6863%20union%20all%20select%201,CONCAT(0x3a6f79753a,IFnull(CAST(COUNT(*)%20AS%20CHAR),0x20),0x3a70687a3a)%20FROM%20lddb_search._search_2008#&cat=video&key=3
Google for the first CONCAT Hex code and you'll see that quite many websites have also been infected:
https://www.google.com/search?q=0x3a6f79753a
It's not the database, admin account hasn't been compromised but somehow they found a way to poison/compromise the memcached data .
I invalidated all data to start from fresh again, but will monitor if they ever try again.

Note: I tried to merge all of Tasuke's Dolls posts/topic into a single thread to put the discussions back on their original tracks.
https://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=8797
Tasuke, please use this thread for your dolls, do not start a new topic each time or post dolls in unrelated discussions, thank you!

The bar increasing is just an animated GIF really, it doesn't reflect any progress.
The problem is probably that the pictures on the phone are way too big for the forum upload limit and the upload script blocks them.
The settings of 150KB/pic dates back from the first version of the forum. Upgraded it to 500KB/pic.

I believe it is a CLD-3080.
Laserdiscs came in 5", 8" and 12" sizes, 12" being the most common.

I know I need to finish the "HELP > Disc Size" section one day...
https://www.lddb.com/help_size.php
You have to google slightly different names:
8" => LD Single or LDS 5" => VSD or CD Video
They are the yellow discs on this pic:

Found this one, very sad that our OP is gone now. Does Julien remove these after some time or do we just have this sitting around the interweb???
I switch to "Guest" (that's the default in phpBB Forum when an account is deleted) when the associated LDDb account is deleted after either 3+ years of inactivity or 1 year if the email for this account is bouncing. Notification of freezing after 1 year and Forum message that account will be deleted after 3. If still no reaction, account is removed.
Once in a while, when a user posted important contents (such as disclord), I retain the messages' account.

IMDb says "Panavision 1.85:1 spherical 35mm"
Would tend to say that the 1.85:1 is the intended ratio and that it would be P&S and not Open Matte.

Just made up my mind and decided to give this HLD-X0 a chance:
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/w361181092

I'll be joining the X0 club soon! Only took my 20 years since I got a LD-S9 directly from Nicolas Santini's hands in Tokyo.
Since I have a few duplicates and changing inputs on a Radiance is easy, I'll try to make a X9/X0 comparison on discs I have twice (like Dolby Digital Experience or Silence of the Lambs MUSE).

Since I got curious about https://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8845 I did the same exercise with the HLD-X9:

Assuming the counter starts at 3,000 like the X0, ~1,650 units in 1996 (starting from July/August), seemingly falling to ~750 in 1997 then another ~1,800 units over the course of 1998-2000 for a total of 4,000+?
Wasn't the X9 supposed to be produced in larger quantities?

Julien, welcome to the club.
Happy to report that after a few P5 errors on MUSE discs, the X0 now plays everything smoothly (it's so quiet!) and as expected.
All I did to make the P5 disappear is letting the player go through CAV/CLV discs entirely to make the parts inside (belts, rubber, grease) get to move again as expected after years of storage.
Had the same behavior when getting my S9 and X9 out of storage: P5, U1, clamping somehow getting stuck halfway before giving up and ejecting. Just played around for a while (open/close, play/stop/Side B/A/B/A, etc.) and eventually the mechanics will revert to their normal selves. The insurance company was glad I didn't have to purchase replacement units for both in the end.
