In the past, certain Laserdisc releases for films like A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child or Superman IV: The Quest for Peace would contain deleted, extended, or alternate footage that were exclusive to those releases that have currently never been released on a digital format (DVD, Blu-ray etc.).

Below is a list of Laserdisc releases from certain titles that contain exclusive extended footage that have never been officially released on a digital format

Alamo, The (1960) ML102581 , ML-12 & ML106354 - these releases are the Directors Cut versions with 35 minutes of deleted and extended scenes plus two alternate shots.
American Graffiti (1973) - these releases contain the original opening shot of the restaurant which was revised for the 25th anniversary release with the addition of a CGI sunset.
Back to the Future (1985) - a shot displaying the closing title card "To Be Continued" shown at the ending of the film was removed from the DVD and Blu-ray releases to preserve the original Theatrical ending.
Backtrack (Catchfire) (1989) PILF-2246 - this release is the Director's Cut. It contains 8 minutes of extended and alternate scenes.
Bad (1991) Z0300 - This is the uncensored version. the DVD release was cut by over 20 minutes.
Blood Simple (1984) SF050-1357 - this is the Theatrical cut. It contains one dialogue sequence missing from the R2 UK Universal DVD release.
Blue Thunder (1983) - these releases contain one additional scene not included on the DVD/Blu-ray versions.
Cafe Flesh (1982) Z0093 - the ending on the DVD release was cut by a few seconds.
Cartel (1990) ID7946SG - contains 6 minutes of additional extended scenes.
City Hunter (1993) PCLP-00477 - contains an extended opening with more shots from the manga and a few clips from the film plus an alternate scene.
Dangerous Games (1995) AVIV-1012 -The DVD release was severely edited by 13 minutes to create fake 'mutiple angle' footage. The LD contains the full uncut 87 minute version.
Dead Poets Society (1989) 7821 AS - contains 14 minutes of deleted scenes.
Diary of Anne Frank, The (1959) 1074-80 & 1074-85 - these are the widescreen editions featuring the original walk-in, intermission, and exit music tracks from the original theatrical run.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931) ML101642 - this is the fully restored uncensored version with 17 minutes of previously censored material.
Dream Lover (1993) 800633113-1 - features over 2 min of deleted material.
For a Few Dollars More (1965) NJL-52226 - This release is the fully Uncut version while the DVD and Blu-ray releases are cut in several different scenes.
Grizzly (1976) SF078-5011 - this version contains a scrolling monologue in the beginning of the film that was never shown on the DVD versions.
Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse (1991) LV83081 - The DVD release is missing a mention of Harvey Keitel as Willard and a scene
Immortals, The (1995) LT8011-C & --- - These are the Uncut versions of the film and are 6 minutes longer than the DVD release.
It: Stephen King's (1990) 12198 - this release contains the full 192 minute Uncut TV miniseries with 6 scenes and 4 extended shots from the ending of Part 1 and the beginning of Part 2 missing from other releases.
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) ML102194 - the Criterion Blu-ray is missing three scenes that are only found on this release plus two alternate shots.
Jason's Lyric (1994) 800633909-1 & ID3837PG - These releases are the Unrated versions that contain about 1 minute of extra footage.
Jimi Hendrix: Rainbow Bridge (1970) ID3931RH - this release contains an additional 17 minutes to the original film's 108 minute DVD release.
Lion King, The (1994) - a majority of the animated footage and title cards were remastered for every re-released format after the 1995 Walt Disney Home Video releases of the theatrical version.
Love on Delivery (1994) ML 456 ML 457 - the Blu-ray release has several frame cuts removing certain parts of dialogue and shots plus censored subtitles made on the HK DVD making the LD releases the Uncut version.
Make Mine Music (1946) SF078-0110 - In the "All the Cats Join In" segment for the DVD release, a scene was edited to remove a "side breast" from the girl as she gets dressed. Originally, she was seen from behind and the side, and the swell of her breasts was drawn, but in the edited version, she is implied to be flat-chested.
Melody Time (1948) SF078-1214 - The later VHS and DVD releases were both cut and censored in the Pecos Bill segment.
Michael Schenker Group (M.S.G.): Hammersmith Live (1983) TE-D027 - this release is the longest version available after it was reissued and shortened under the title "Rock Will Never Die" for later releases.
Minako Honda: The Virgin Live in Budokan (1986) L098-10 - this release contains an additional 36 minutes compared to the 59 minute DVD release.
Moontrap (1989) SWLD-3033 - This Japanese release contains several additional scenes that are exclusive to this version.
Muppet Movie, The (1979) LVITC 0011 - this release contains 2 minutes of extended shots and scenes that were never released on DVD.
Nightmare on Elm Street 5, A: The Dream Child (1989) ID7189ME & TKLR-50013 - these releases contain exclusive deleted shots from two scenes that were cut by the MPAA.
Nightmare on Elm Street 6, A: Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare (1991) 1964-130 - this German version contains almost 3 minutes of scenes that aren't available in the US version, but it's also missing scenes that are only available in the US version.
Object of Obsession (1994) ID3279AP - This release is the Unrated version with 5 minutes of additional scenes.
Once A Thief (1996) ID4058AP - This release is the Director's cut with 12 minutes of additional scenes, a slightly different ending, and some of the dialogue is cut out in this version.
Other Woman,The (1992) ID2475M - This release is the Unrated version with 8 minutes of additional scenes.
Pamela Principle (1992) ID2502MR - This release is the Uncut version with 4 minutes of additional scenes.
Peking Opera Blues (1986) PILF-7063 & A015 - The DVD and Blu-ray editions are missing text that was part of the ending originally seen in the Theatrical version.
Program, The (1993) TL-1343 - This release includes a scene that was removed from all other releases of the film. It was cut by the studio shortly after the film's theatrical release.
Protector, The (1985) G88F0051 - contains 3 minutes of additional scenes to the Hong Kong version of the film.
Ransom (1995) 8295 AS , PILF-2392 & PILF-2680 - these releases are the Director’s Cut version containing 18 minutes of deleted footage.
Red Heat (1985) IVE5189 - This is the Unrated 104 minute version and it's not available on DVD. It contains different content in comparison to the DVD releases.
Rescuers, The (1977) 14793 AS - this remastered edition contains an infamous image of a topless woman within a scene that was later recalled and edited out for future home video releases.
Rock n’ Roll Cop (1994) OL-395 - contains the fully uncut version while the DVD releases are censored.
She's Gotta Have It (1996) CC1381L - this is the Director's Cut version of the film containing 4 minutes of additional scenes that are exclusive to this release.
Solar Crisis (1990) PCLP-00128 - this is the uncut Director's Cut version with 7 minutes of additional footage.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) LV 8858-2A & SF057-1618 - these release's are an extended version to the theatrical cut that was briefly shown on ABC television with 12 minutes of additional scenes.
Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) PILF-2830 - the only release from the Prequel Trilogy to feature the Theatrical version.
Starflight One (1983) LVRK 0175 - this release contains 7 minutes of additional scenes.
Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) K88L-5090 - contains two deleted scenes that were briefly shown on television broadcasts of the TV version.
Texasville (1990) PSE93-34 - this release contains 24 minutes of additional scenes.
THX 1138 (1971) - the original cut of the film has never been released on a digital format.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) 940 CS - contains two uncensored shots that were altered for later LD releases and the DVD/Blu-ray versions.
Wyatt Earp (1994) 13921 & NJWL-13921 - these are the Special Expanded editions with 19 minutes of addtional scenes.
Yellow Submarine: The Beatles (1968) PILA-3029 - this version contains the Theatrical cut of the film containing additional songs which have never been released on DVD.

Nemesis (1992) PILF-1588 - this is the directors cut version with 4 minutes of extended and alternate scenes plus an alternate ending.


Substance posted that he bought the new bluray with 3 versions of the film and I believe this is one of them.

I also found out that Shout Factory will be released the Unrated version of Candyman (1992) LD 14073 on Blu-ray so that will also be removed from the list.

Just discovered this has 36 more minutes than the 59 minute DVD. The DVD is missing one of my favorite tracks too. Long live LD.
