| Yes, rein-o, the player is connected to TV via RCA cables. The disc plays, but the screen goes black for long periods. The audio still plays. Not sure if it could be the laser going out, maybe a bad capacitor, or something else. I hope it's repairable. |

Yes, I just plugged my trusty Sharp VC-H942 VCR in via the RCA and the picture is perfect.
