Apologies for such a late response. I did manage to fix this.
The issue was with the switch on the PSU PCB. The power button on the faceplate is connected by a long metal pushrod which activates the switch on the PCB.
This is a latch type switch that is commom for very many old TV/Video units.
There was a small piece of plastic that had broken inside the switch.
I got a very similar switch and change the internal broken part. The switch now latches when pressed in and then releases on the second press. |

Hi rein-o,
This is the fist time i've tried to post photo links.
Here is one for the High Plains Drifter set. The others are very similar. Seem to be dated 1976. I think that Jaws was the first public release in 1978?
