Hey everyone, my name's David. 42 from Ohio, lifelong film feel. Growing up always wanted a laserdisc player for the family because I would read in Entertainment Weekly or see on Siskel and Ebert about all the cool features and superior picture and sound. Never could get my parents to bite or had the money myself to give it a try. Of course DVD came along as I entered college and I became a huge collector of that format and it's successors. But I still viewed LD as a holy grail.

Now I have a player (which needs a little repair work hopefully soon it'll be ready) and a small starter kit of discs to dive into. Looking forward to it.
