Interesting post erbert777, thanks for that.
Could be interesting for someone.
Before plugging it in & spinning it up it really should have where it was originally factory lubricated checked as it will more than likely have gummed up, a clean & fresh lubrication would be a good idea.
Again a really interesting back story, thanks.

Yeah, there's basically no chance this thing works. Even for reliable gear, 40 years in a box not moving is often doom. Nothing is actually broken (snapped) yet though so for a dedicated person it may run with a lot of work. I would not just plug it in and turn it on though. |
