Hello, everyone! :wave:

I'm brand new on the forum, but not brand new to legacy formats. For as long as I've been able to walk, you couldn't keep my hands away from stereo equipment. Generally speaking, though, I'm a music guy and a collector of records, CDs, tapes, DAPs, minidiscs, and, recently, Laserdiscs. I find that having an understanding of legacy music-based formats helps but isn't quite enough to fully understand how video formats work and what to avoid during conversion or playback. So chiefly, I'm here to learn more about Laserdisc, as it's a format I've always avoided due to lack of readily available equipment and material. And yes, I regret that decision now. :lol:

I'm a dual national from both North America and Europe, which has made my journey with legacy video formats a bit of an interesting one. Right now, I'm living in PAL-Land. ;)
