jaybe123123

We are most sorry that you had an issue with this transaction
and I can assure you that we will make it right. That being said
below is our side of this issue:
1. We shipped by USPS Priority Mail with Tracking (US to UK)
2. You filed a PayPal claim before letting us know that there was an issue
NOTE: You did ask for tracking but did not state that there was an issue
3. After the claim was resolved in our favor you did not contact us
4. Then you posted this derogatory post and negative feedbacks on eBay
5. Your e-mail address from eBay is being returned
6. Please respond to any of my numerous e-mails and we will get this resolved

Again, not even contacting us - did we miss an e-mail ?

Further, I just tracked the package and according to the USPS
it is now being returned to DaDon's from the UK. With respect
this appears to be a Postal / perhaps Customs issue and you have
taken rather harsh actions without even giving us an opportunity
to resolve.

So, assuming we do get the LaserDisc shipment back from the UK
do you want us to ship them again at our expense or..

Would you like a full refund?

or what can we do to make it right ?

Grazie,

DaDon

PS I will post the complete detailed USPS tracking information for all to see
in the next post

jaybe123123,

Below is the unaltered tracking information from the USPS Website. Please note
in particular that

"Payment of charges - Item being held, addressee being notified"

In other words, according to the Postal Service jaybe123123 was notified
on August 09th to pickup the package and pay the Customs fees. Perhaps
the shipping address given to eBay was wrong like the e-mail address ???

Regardless, the package is on the way back from the UK to DaDon's.

What did I say? I would trust DaDon ANY day of the week. It's the postal sysytem and customs that I would have issues with.
And DaDon.... I trust there will be some sort of retraction by the buyer for the negative statements!

I think this thread just backfired on original poster a big time, very nice from you to start damaging someone's reputation like this for completely wrong reasons.

look at his other post. http://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1663

i think jaybee has to understand how shipping and customs works for countries.

sometimes things take time.

Case in point:

http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... tForOthers

And I think DaDon has explained in his later post that there is a misunderstanding regarding how international postage works. I've also had shipments that were held at the post office on the other end because of custom fees and an inability to contact the recipient.
I think the bottom line is if you're going to buy international "patience is a virtue"

Da Don, please let us know that after you clear up this matter about payment or reshipping, that the buyer here did retract the negative comment after you send him the request to do so. If not, many sellers here will take note of this buyer for future reference and more than likely choose not to do business with him.

Couldn't agree more and I've emailed DaDon asking him to follow the thread and keep everyone updated.

I'm not surprised the story has taken this turn. He kind of sounded liked an impatient person from the first post.

I've always had off-beat tastes and I've always lived in the Midwest so waiting for stuff to come in the mail is something I'm very used to. When I was a kid ordering import model kits from California with money orders it would take months to get your stuff, and that's if everything went OK. Anyone over the age of 25 remembers "allow 6-8 weeks for delivery". These days I think a lot of people would have an aneurism waiting that long for something.

You'd think someone collecting a format that's been dead for 12 years would have more patience.

What really blows me away is EMS. I can order something from HLJ or Rakuten or Recobanchou and have thing at my door 4 days later. It's crazy. The down side of this is that as a seller you are expected to ship within six hours or someone might blow a gasket.

When you're a kid 6 to 8 weeks might as well be 6 to 8 years. It seemed to take forever for another week to go by so I could my 25 cents allowance (and then bike to the hobby shop to spend 15 cents on a rubber band powered balsa airplane)

Thank you for all of your posts and insights !

As for this situation, first, I will do my best to resolve
in a positive way. I respect each persons right to do business
in their own way. At DaDon's we have the opportunity to learn
from many people with unique Customs throughout the World.
Many of whom have become my good friends. So, we will hope
that jaybe123123 will communicate with us by phone, skype,
e-mail or this Forum if preferred. Whatever is best for jaybe123123.

...and if the above does not work I will call in "Uncle Luigi" and
if that doesn't work I will call in "my daughter" whom is schooling
in Paris now - and she scares me... :-)

Seriously, I will keep you all posted...

Grazie,

DaDon

He probably doesn't think it's worth the risk.

I think DaDon called in Uncle Luigi once to help me out, all fear Uncle Luigi! AS for Da Daughter, I've met her. She is VERY nice, very smart and I wouldn't want to make her mad :shh: :shh:

One more name to eBay blocklists, if he ever happen to stomp back in with his concrete shoes I mean.

Post subject:  Re: DaDons more like DaBest...

jaybe123123 was in contact by e-mail and wrote kindly.
Since the package is being returned to DaDons by the Postal Service
we simply refunded the payment in full. jaybe123123 also
volunteered to remove the negatives.

Will keep all posted.

DaDon
