Alright, let me again respond to a couple of these at once. rein-o wrote: vinylcollector wrote: Ok I had paid 164.50 USD for repairs and shipping it back to me.
vinylcollector you just paid or paid in the past??????? ________________________________ the rein-o official signature: He mentioned a few posts back that he paid on December 6th, 2012 Thanks for the info, Vinylcollector -- I will add it to the listing. One more thing: since you are the earliest entry on the list, did you also send Duncan your player in December of 2012, or was it prior to then? Thanks xtempo wrote: out of 4 things shipped to him to look at around the time I got half back and half stayed. While I liked the PD-5700 it was impossible to source the lens so eventually I told him to keep it but he made no acknowledgement on that. I've also stopped caring about the digital optical mod for the Lexicon LDD-1, no acknowledgement on that either. I would be happy to have this back. to replace it I went the Pioneer SP-99D route in which after 3 tries I ended up with a complete and working one. 1 arrived broken and no sound another with output only one speaker and third is the best and most perfect one of all.
finally caved on an LD-S1 with manual since the LDS-2 hasn't arrived that I paid for. A refund or the actual player would be nice.
am trying to find the exact day and the price I paid through paypal. So Xtempo, just to clarify here...you actually sent Duncan two other items at around the same time you sent the Pioneer LD-S2 and Lexicon LDD-1? If one of those is the PD-5700 (Is that a Pioneer CD player?), what was the fourth item you sent him?

he looked over and 2 players another C:D-79 I got which I ended up taking apart for a project that never happen so he deducted or gave me the mod free on the LDS2. the other one was a LDV2000--both which I got back
I did get my Lexicon LDD-1 one back but the mod did not work so he was still trying to figure out how to do optical out only and the pioneer PD-5700 CD player which I've not got back yet. Okay, Xtempo...you're providing a *lot* of new (to me, at least) info. Would you mind clarifying a few things so I can properly re-write your entry (especially to consolidate all of this together): Since I have both 'early 2013' and 'fall of 2013' (if memory serves) down for dates, can you provide a better timeline for events, if you are able? As it stands, I'm thinking of just generalizing by saying that you sent Duncan the equipment 'during 2013', but I thought I would verify it with you beforehand. So, with the Lexicon, is this correct: you sent it to him for the mod, he returned it to you as complete, you tested it and found out that it didn't work and you sent it back to him for further work, which is the current status? Did you pay him for the mod work? Were you planning to have him do any work to the CLD-79, or did you just send him the parts in exchange for a discount on the LD-S2 work? Did he send the CLD-79 back? What was being done to the LDV-2000? Thanks

Thanks I have had too much in my personal life to be able to remember dates and stupidly cleaned out my email so I ended up not having anything prior to 2015 though there are some threads around so I'll try to find them to help with the dates on things. I will also look through my other posts in other threads so as too see if I mention things. it might be July/August but its hard to remember and I confuse myself sometimes I sent the CLD-79 and LD-V2000 those were only diagnostic checkup so they weren't worked on and the turnaround was pretty fast so those don't have to matter for this. around the same time was the LDD-1 which I sent only to get the mod and paid then sent it back since it didn't work as the mod was intended to do. the last was I enquired about some players listed on the website and he had only the LD-S2 which needed building so basically I order. payment wasn't made for some reason until I think the middle of January but I am still trying to go throuh my paypal to find the exact date

Can you provide more information? when my player broke down in the spring, i had contacted duncan, but he declined to fix it (spindle) instead, Grasshopper gave me a deal and i sent him the player. (and it's still going strong)

up Erwing, if you wish to have the other topic closed, I have no issue with it one way or another, since I personally feel like that's between you, rein-o (who originated it) and the system administrator. However, I do feel strongly about not merging the two topics, since my intention with this one (which, by and large, has been successful thus far) was to consolidate the known statuses of people's dealings (or lack thereof) with Duncan in the initial post (that way it would be the first thing a person would read). There is a lot of good information in the original thread (which, again, I've hopefully consolidated rather well in the initial post), but there's also a lot of conjecture and joking, which, in my opinion, might make someone less likely to either dig through the 12 or so pages present in that thread for information or to take the matter seriously.
