After a good start, negative and neutral feedbacks started accumulating.

I'm reviewing the situation with billoftacoma.

Shop was reopened after some clean up of mis-pricing, mis-grading and wrong LDd added (close release or similar references).

Always ask for close-up pictures before accepting to pay for an order.
It's okay to walk out of a deal if the discs are not in line with their grading/description.

I submitted an order for 20 LDs on June 9. Still no invoice. I sent a PM earlier today asking about it, no response either but it hasn't even been a day yet since the PM.

Recieved an email June 23. I didn't see it until today because gmail put it in spam. Everything seems ok.

Emailed him and sent out a money order on Jul 1. Never got any kind of reply email reply or shipping notification, but today I recieved the discs.

Discs are mostly in good shape. One disc has a nick on the edge, and most of them are a little scuffed up, but they look like they will all play ok, at least on my good player. But for $3.50 to $5.50 per disc, that's reasonable.

But I'll let you be the judge about the packing. It's amazing they arrived in good shape. 20 discs in a box that's not any bigger than the disks themselves. Actually it's not even a box, it's 3 random pieces of cardboard very loosely taped together. The mailman had set it standing on edge on my stone tiled front entrance. He must have done that ususually gingerly for the edges not to be all banged up. The edges of some of the covers are split where the disc punched through, but only the same way many ld covers are. Perfectly in line with discs sold for $3.50 to $5.50 each. So, I actually can not say these seffered any shipping damage for sure. I'm just amazed that they didn't.

It's also just pure luck that it didn't rain today.
No protection from wet at all.
Could have beed 20 damaged covers.

All in all, I lucked out. I significantly fleshed out my aim to get all available Babylon 5 discs, and for very cheap, and the delivery time wasn't even bad if you overlook the first few weeks of communication mis-haps on both our parts. So in that sense, the transaction was good.

But I personally am not buying from this person again.

One disc turned out to be incorrect. A simple mistake out of 20 discs. Sent one I didn't order, didn't send one I did order. I just sent an email offering to send the wrong disc back and asking for the correct disc. Let's see...

Still no reply to email.
Just sent a pm via the forum, but of course that requires logging in to check it so I can't hold my breath on that.

Resent the email a few hours ago, got a response this time. (a reasonable one)

Answered today. Matter closed.
He doesn't have the missing disc as far as he can tell, so it was a mistake that it was still listed in lddb.
He offered to refund the price of that disc.
I declined. For $5 I'll just keep the extra disc and move on.
But he offered, so I'm satisfied.

Thank you for the closing update, I was following the thread to see if I needed to step in and escalate directly with the seller.

I'm trying to buy a disc from this seller, but he has yet to send me an invoice.

Maybe he's away for the holidays?

That is one fine example of how not to package precious cargo ..........
