I made an offer of 30 on asking 40, i got auto declined. I understand low ball offers like 10 on 40 but i was within 75 percent. I am not saying he should have accepted but maybe not auro decline. I guess best offer is %10 less or auto decline. I dont see myself buying anything unless only he has want i want. He isnt even hereor laserdiscs forum. That tells me he is in business only(nothing wrong with that) i would rather have my money go to enthusiast/dealer

I've purchased a couple of things from him. Very well packaged and timely delivery. Nice stuff, but his prices are usually too high for me.

I haven't bought any discs from DaDon for that very reason. It seems his prices are frozen in time, from somewhere in the early '00s -- even for discs that aren't all that rare.

I have to revise what I wrote earlier about DaDon, since I recently purchased an LD from him(?) off of eBay. The LD was in excellent condition, and expertly packaged. I also got it for a reasonable price considering it was a movie not available on DVD.

He used to have a shop on LDDb but closed it to focus on his own website.

Not too happy that he copied the whole LDDb catalog to start his shop (including typos and non existing titles) without even asking if it was okay to do so. But it's too late.

One thing that always puzzled me about DaDon was why he even bothered to copy the catalog from LDDB.com.
I mean why go to the trouble of listing titles you don't actually have in stock?
Personally I find that the only annoying thing about DaDon's site.
You end up getting your hopes up that he has a title only to find he doesn't and just has a wishlist entry!
This wastes your time when searching for titles.

The stuff he does stock is great and the packing is first rate, but the empty database doesn't impress me.
I only want to know about stock that is available not stock that 'might' be available as I can just search for that myself.

I guess this means you are a 'big time' player in the laserdisc world!
So when will you be cloning Julien's database?

well that shows you in a nutshell how great a seller he is.
if he blocks people from his site and takes info from other sites without asking.

when i list on the bay i always post "take a look at lddb.com for more info"
i want others to see that there are more fun sites for discs and keep the trading alive.

i've got to say also i'm very happy with this forum, if i didn't read them i would have missed out on some discs on the bay.
i don't think i have bought any discs for the past 2 or so years, but then the forum tells you about something that you have wanted but just gave up on and bam it's mine now.

Lol, I dont have enough discs to clone Julien. I am thinking about making a website though in the future and would have a click through to this site. I tried to get on his website with my sons computer and it worked. It is just something with this computer and his site in IE9.

anybody know anything about the wishlist on dadons webpage? Some of the boxsets are very cheap but there is no buy option other than wishlist. does that mean if it becomes available, you buy it at that price? or Dadon hunts one down for you for that price? or it means nothing?

Wishlist means nothing, it is just a holding spot for if they ever get it.

Is he a member here on LDDB? Maybe he has blocked us all from buying from him?

I have my eye on few titles going cheap. But I seem to keep buying from other sellers? Its called supply and demand and he has some good titles up for grabs. ;)
