Good afternoon All, just a quick note that as of today dadons.com is still up and running. You can place orders and pay but not sure if anything will ever be shipped out. I am not taking the chance and paying for something.

I can confirm that the website is still up, but his email address no longer exists. Who is paying to host a dead website? Weird.

Its probably just on annual renewal on a credit card, only a couple bucks and whoever probably doesn't know they are being charged.

I run a website and can do up to 3 years of payment at a single time (even without autorenewel set to on). So I could buy a 3 year hosting plan today, die tomorrow, and my site would be up for another 3 years.

About ordered from here in my newbness early in the year until I saw info floating around not to.

Contacted the hosting company that they may want to reach out and do a take down on the site. The said that police report has to be filed and they would have to order the take down request, so that was a wasted effort.

So anyway, if anyone had to file paypal claims and or credit card claims and wants to go to the effort, that is going to be the only way to get it offline.

Bought from a zombi website as well (the only place you could see OPPO 205 racking ears online).

I guess Paypal knew something was fishy because the payment had to be manually accepted by the shop first.
Then never did.

Paypal will revert payment after 30 days in this situation.

Just a note that Dadon's LDDB account was deleted after 3.5 years without activity.
Email was bouncing as well.

The eBay account was deleted, I removed the link in one of his posts.

Basically no life sign since 2017.

Gee, that sounds morbid. I hope this is a figurative statement but I fear it may be literal.

There has been no new posts that I can find regarding Dadons in the past 5 years. However, in the interest of consolidation and continuation of communication with the Dadons team and this community. I am starting this thread in the hopes that it will open up a bridge between this community as well as the Dadons. Hopefully some one on the there team or who knows how to get a hold of anyone on that team can reach out. Please add any current experience or relationship you have had with Dadons in this forum thread. Thank you.

The following is my most resent attempts to contact them which explains my current situation, I will update you if it ever is resolved:

I still can't join. It has been months and many emails. Please help ! Most current issue: my log in doesn't work. I reset password. I get a new password emailed to me from Dadons and THAT doesn't work. I have never once received a "validation" email as there error states I will receive in 24 hours. It has been Months.
This is there error I get :

I received the initial welcome email and nothing further, I have used the Contact button on the Dadons website many times to email you. Only as of recent was I able to use the "forgot your password" button and then was able to receive a temporary password but that doesn't work. I would happily lend you a hand .... If I could ever get a hold of somebody. I am a 35 year old male who is tech savvy and quite an avid LD collector myself.

Domain name/SSL certificate had expired but somehow it came back up later.

Most of the sections are empty/not working.

I think it's been a zombie website since 2017.

If not then…guy, seriously. Give up. This store is GONE and it honestly kinda sucked in the first place. Give up. No amount of persistence will ever pay off.

Was making a round of checks to see if DaDon popped up somewhere else maybe.

The website (as long as the hosting/SSL certificates run fine) will be up at least until 2030. It was last updated in Jun 2020.

Domain ownership also passed to his daughter.

It looks like he opened 2 companies in 2019 with template/abandonned websites and an address in a UPS Store.
One of them was still updating financial statements as early as July 2023.

I guess he just moved on... Hope he's OK!
