I sell laserdiscs, I guess I have gotten a little big because some sellers have been rather short with me lately. When I screw up I try to upgrade the condition of the item I screwed up on and get the customer a better copy of something I sold. It doesnt happen a lot but when I do I try to make up for it. That being said, I have been having sellers refuse to sell to me lately for some reason or another. I dont know whether or not to laugh or cry personally. I mean seriously, I want to buy your copy of Laserdisc X which you have been sitting on for 10 years because you are selling it for 10 dollars over regular price and you dont want to sell to me because I am sending it to someone else. It isnt even as if I have asked them to ship to a different address. Regardless of that I dont understand it. If I had a dealer email me and ask me if I would sell them something and even send it somewhere else I would. I am in this business to make money, buy cool laserdiscs and say neener neener neener look at what I have! I sell the stuff because I buy big lots of discs, sell off what I dont want and keep what I want. I did well last year doing this and am pretty happy where I am sitting right now. Anyway what is your opinion about this, would you sell to another dealer or would you not sell to them. Heck, if they are going to be back for more I would even figure out a whole sale price for them.

Does eBay allow you to have two accounts? (one for selling and one for buying)

No. Shill bidding is always an issue under this scenario.

If you're ever lookin for a disc that I have listed and plan on sellin it somewhere else, just let me know, I;d probably even give you some sort of discount. I think anyone who refuses to sell any discs to anyone for any reason is just a prick.

I see why people get upset, thinking they're being short-changed or something. But that doesn't make sense to me. If you have a buyer and everyone gets what they're after, then everybody wins. A sale is a sale, who cares what happens after it leaves your grasp. Especially if you got a nice wad of cash to fill that void.

If you put a buy it now on something you would think that that was it but you could be correct.

I have to side with the sellers who refuse to sell to you. I like to sell to people who want to own the product I am selling, not just turn and make a profit. I refuse to sell to car dealerships, GameStop, Pawn shops, etc.

If you want to pay me $99 for my mint condition evil dead 2 with blood red disc, I would gladly sell it to you. Then you can maybe make $0.99 profit on it. Lol

I agree with gbpxl on gamestop etc.. buying your cds, dvd, bds for $.24-.99 then sell for $3.99-19.99. I never trade/sell my media/electronics to big box stores simply because the money they offer isnt worth it.
If you agree on what I think I should getfor my discs I dont have a problem selling/trading with you.

If you have an evil dead red disc for sale for 99.99 and I need it I will pay 99.99. I might ask if you could knock a few bucks off to maybe 97.99 but if you say no I am still buying the disc. I am not saying I will give you 5 bucks for your disc because it has been sitting with you for a year. If I need or want something I pay full price and dont really haggle. I buy stuff from other people if they are selling for a good deal or I want the disc (I am going to get the Japanese version of the Rockateer because I love the cover, or I screwed up on an order and need an item. No where down that line would I really ask for a crazy discount because I am a dealer. If I buy something from someone because I screwed up I always lose money. Game Stop, Car Dealers and stuff that do that for a living and I am so far off it isnt funny. If your model of myself and gamestop were matching I would pay full price for every game that walked in, which is what I do when I need something.

I never sell anything

If its an auction site, then I don't see why people wont sell to you, the ending price are often the value of the item. If a seller is stupid enough to sell in a lot, which most people don't want to buy, then he isn't such big collector after all.

If its just a fixed price listing in a local add, craiglist or something like that then its a little more understandable if the seller want a guy that actually want to have the collection to buy it.

I dont understand exactly how you are denied buying ? Is this oversea shipping or in USA ? Why do you need do ask for permission to buy the items ?

No sense in getting ones underwear in a wade selling to dealers.
Do the home work and ask a just price.
What difference if a collector or dealer buys the product?
I tend to offer dealers a better price for the speculation factor.
And haggling is a big part of my business, during which I usually can tell whether the person is a dealer or collector.
Selling to dealers can leads to good business relations and further transactions.
Thanks for this thread !!!

I went to go buy something and was told that I wouldnt be sold to. On another site. Was an automated message. No biggie, I can always go elsewhere. I look all over for my discs and will pay what I want. I have been buying stuff from a guy called creepozoid or something like that on ebay, awesome discs, awesome prices and awesome shipping. I really like the quality of the guys stuff. Forgot the middle o, he seems to have some nice weird stuff.

I have purchased from Creepozoid before. And I agree. Awesome stuff at decent prices. And he knows how to ship.
If a seller refuses to sell to you it is their loss. Makes no sense.
