I have inherited a LD collection of roughly 500-600 discs, almost all in mint condition, and while I have opened a shop on the parent site, I know that I will have a lot of discs that will likely never sell individually. Have any of you ever sold a large number of discs in a lot, and if so, how did you handle shipping? I was thinking about doing local pickup only, since a box of 100 discs weighs a ton. Any feedback is welcomed!

Media mail, max weight is 80lbs, you should keep it to 20-40 max otherwise your discs will get smashed.

Pack them well, the heavier they are the more they get smashed.
Remember that person working at the counter has to lift it and will hate you and your package so pack it well.

That’s awesome advice!! Would it be best to have the buyer pay actual shipping? I’m guessing I could weigh/pack the lot before I post, get a general cost and use that.

Unless you like paying to give stuff away for free I suggest you have the buyer pay for shipping.

If the lot is sold on ebay you can give size and weight when listing, or if you are in an area near others do marketplace.

When I said have the buyer pay actual shipping, I meant as opposed t a flat rate.

Actual shipping, you will still get burnt on flat shipping.

Good thing is that discs are standard, once you get a rate for 2 or 3 discs you can do simple math and figure out 40 discs
and then packing on top of that.
