Although we are currently part of the UK here in Scotland we did not want to be dragged out of the EU. How so many people can now be shafted by a few f##kwits is staggering but it is where we are now. Already we are getting the "we are stronger together" crap from Westminster re Scottish independence.... did not take long for that to start again. An ongoing shitfest which will get worse as time goes on.

There is this Chumbawamba song I like where they sample a guy, not sure who/when, who is presumably talking about Thatcher’s state funeral plans, and he says something like “...you could give everyone in Scotland a shovel, and we’ll dig a hole so deep we’ll deliver her to Satan personally.” I don’t know if it’s just the way he says “personally” with this terrific Clydeside speech or the metaphor itself but I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. It’s so funny, and so sad, and the illustration so vivid. I think there is still a market for those shovels, is what I’m saying. |

The preferred routes from Holyhead, Liverpool etc to Dublin are supposedly out of favour now. Not good news for folks in those areas. Sure Holyhead is tiny, if the ferry terminal goes down the toilet it wouldn't be good for employment. I bought a pair of Samsung Galaxy tablets last week from Jeff in Germany. Still worked out around a €100 saving over Jeff UK. Same with Jeff's Iberian branch in Spain. Picked up 2 boxes of stuff for training that cost the same as 1 box from Jeff UK. Have a subscription set up now from Spain. Saving a lot on some things at the minute. Whatever 'deal' was struck appears to be backfiring imho. RE Marks and Sparks.
