Often these types of folks like to keep a token of the messed up transaction so as to remember the victim by. Is there any pattern to the names by which a message may be contrived?

The laserdisc enthusiasts on this site are precisely the type of people most likely to buy expensive laserdisc equipment so if you have got a bad reputation in the laserdisc world you will need to change trade and fast! |

Hi i don't have any disorder! Now this is me, the person you are talking. First of all, i bought many laserdisc stuff in the past, and i still buy. At the momment i am selling most of stuff, basically stuff that i don't need, or really use. I am into Laserdisc, but more into Blu Ray. As for the non-completed transactions some of the members that talk here, before they do, they should know the reasons. My dear Mike Toyz...i am still waiting for the 2 laserdiscs i bought from you and never arrived. Another thing, some of the sellers don't repsect my requests in the packing. Ok, it's my fault i do not complete the transaction but sometimes i get scared of the way sellers pack things after they answer. I will not do that again as i have my sources now. As for the player i sold, or that i am selling they are genuine and all of the stuff is as described. My feedback speaks for itself. As for the reason i've changed to "mv_cinema_consulting is because now i have a Home Theater consulting company, that i the only reason, nothing else. |

Note to all Vitor will keep using the LDDb CARARTE account for future orders and we all expect him to make good on his commitments (especially now that he can contact sellers in advance through the forum to check for the perfection of the discs and ask for pictures). It's perfectly OK to cancel a transaction if it turns out the item are not in the perfect shape you're looking for. Just inform politely the seller and I will cancel the transaction to restock the disc at its original price, void the seller's fees and everything goes back to square one. If enough sellers conclude successful transactions and can testify that cararte is back to normal, then we'll eventually agree that this thread can be removed. Vitor, you're on probation period now. Please be true to your word (and do no impersonate a naive buyer to advertize your auctions). Julien |

Thanks for this adjudication Julien, Though I do agree with publius on the severity regarding this persons tactics. Probationary status is most prudent. If this person chooses to be accountable with his dealings,then let him prove it on down the road. Likewise, any deviation from such should be dealt with swiftly and with resolve. Better avoid this guy from Portugal. I bought al player from him that arrived broken. So I sent it back. Not it's 6 month later and he has not refunded me my money, nor sent another player like he promised. Lot's of lies and excuses why he has not. But I think he just ripped me off. Os avoid this Cararte who's real name is Ricardo Thomas. |

It is well known he just bought LD software/hardware from other sellers, marked the price up and then sold it on himself - nothing wrong with doing that although why buy from a middle man when you can go direct and get it cheaper and with less risk. |

Let me warn you of Ricardo Tomas. He is a guy that sells laserdisc players from portugal. Don't ever deal with him. He ripped me of on I high End playerI bought from him. If anybody knows him. Please contact him and ask him why he ripped me of. I ve been waiting for over 6 month on my palyer and I don't believe he will ever ship it, even though he keeps finding excuses. Laserdisc people should not do that. This is the guy, know as Cararte here [picture removed] Ricardo Tomas aka mv_cinema_consulting on ebay. Don't believe is 100% score. That is proberly a fraude too. If he ships my player, I will remove this and all the other posts on the internet, but after more than 6 month I don't expect he will. |
