I vote for a HD-VMD section. There's almost no information available about this format. I tried to get a disc and/or player for quite some time but couldn't find any listings. Likely there were only a very small number of movies released but information about this format or even a database would be nice.

Absolutely pointless and Techmoan has already covered the little there is in existence :-)

HD-VMD anyone heard of it?

And the players are already documented:

NME ML622S
NME ML777S
NME DL1000

I don't think it would be pointless. There are very few releases so it wouldn't be a lot of work once the database is up. And I think he is talking about the discs and not the tech behind it. It is a legit optical media after all and it doesn't have any problem with pirate copies like VCD etc.

If there were a vote for I would definetly vote yes and try to help with whatever info I can.

It's too small of a niche, failed format.

No point spending time on a few titles that 0.00000001% of the people cared or even heard about.

I guess you are right, but it would still be nice to have a list with all released titles and some more info somewhere. It is the collector-want-to-know-nerd in me that speaks.

Reality check: Okey, you are right, it is probably not even worth the time for that, considering the niche size of the format. :)

I am not even sure anyone has a good idea of what titles were actually released and what they look like.

substance tried to find discs for years and never managed to reach that goal before giving up.
I've never seen one popping up, even info on players is... elusive.

Actually, attention for already existing other formats here (DVHS, CED, etc.) is minimal, basically next to 0.
There won't be more formats added because, in the end, nobody really cares.
