I wonder if it would be well to have a section for something like classified ads. This would accommodate "wanted to trade", as well as & "for sale" items which don't fit into the LDDb Shop structure. For example, say I have a LD player remote control, or AC-3 audio processor, or something like that. The "classifieds" area would provide a space for that. |

Hello publius, I totally agree with you on this Keeping everything under one roof ''as they say'' is sensible, a one stop trusted location. This site is rather unique, in other areas so why not complete the package, a trusted reliable source for all things Laserdisc and accessories. With a comprehensive site why would anyone go anywhere else, apart from the auction sites. I am with you all the way.

I agree. What we need is a "Classifieds" category with the listings expiring in 30 days. I also am a member of a forum for Martin Logan speaker owners and they have this which works quite well. It would be great for people wanting to perhaps offer used equipment such as laserdisc players, scalers, CRT's, etc... The expiration after a certain amount of time is critical as you don't want classified ads building up. It would also give a place to post references to other sites like ebay which are time limited and can't even be seen after 2 months. Julien, what say you? |

i think it sould just be an add on to shops. so this way julien can get a cut. |

I agree, Julien should get a cut. I guess having it listed through the shops would be a good idea. Just have a general "hardware" section. |

or do the classifieds and have them somehow like a shop deal, if you buy you click on the listing? i don't know if that's easier than adding a hardware section to the shop? |

I'm still dreaming of having the time to code some more things (SACD/DVD Audio), multi soundtrack on HD DVD, counter-best offers and LD Player section!
