Is there a place where sellers with shops on LDDb can announce they will be closed between certain dates? and maybe announce special sales on overstocks or themed items? Thanks.

No responses yet, so let me add here that our shop G & J Rarities will be closed for two weeks starting Sept. 28, 2015. That gives me enough time to ship any paid orders before leaving.

Thanks and cheers to all LDDb members.

G and J Rarities will be closing June 21 for about a month. But we'll be back.

Thanks. It's actually a scene from our favorite romantic movie, "Two for the Road." In younger days we were the characters played by Albert Finney and Audrey Hepburn.

Miss that question last year sorry!

I haven't coded anything for something like that yet. It's either shop open/closed.

What you can do is add a section as the top of you shop policy saying that the shop remains active but that you will only take care of new order started from 20xx/xx/xx (return date).

If you plan to be gone for an extended amount of time (few weeks), then it's probably better to simply close your shop.

For sales, I have some code done to either discount the whole shop GLOBALLY or only by custom category, adding a "NN% off" sticker on these titles.

Haven't found the time to finish it yet. This is on the stack of things to do right after I'm done upgrading the Kernel and moving to Debian 8!
