is it just my setup or am i hearing clipping during the theme in the credits of t2? well, its less clipping than on dvds. analog and digital both same clipping. the analog sounds like it has more trebel range, while the digital sounds a bit muddled? i guess. go ahead, tell me i'm crazy. |

Its a bit late to ask this question, you have any idea what time it is? 3:32am. Its too late to wake neighbours up with T2. You haven't mentioned which T2 you have as there are dozen of pressings... What Laserdisc player are you running what AVR or amps what speakers? It sounds fine to me on my pressings and I haven't got the time to try the DVD or the bluray right now as its late. Although at the start of the Guns and Roses "you could be mine" music track on T2 SE it dips down a few db in tone level and then raises up after a few seconds at chapter 77, time 36.53 - 37.03. The other T2 pressing I have doesn't have this issue. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i dont have the remote. i've been using a remote from a cld-m301 , some of the buttons work, some dont (the stop/eject btn only stops for instance). it has an audio and D/A/CX button, which cycles between analog and digital + L/R + stereo. i dont see volume controls on the remote. only 'step' 'scan' and 'skip' left/right arrows. i could hook up an ir blaster to my computer , find some kind of software that contains laserdisc remote codes, and program it that way? i'm up for ideas. i have some 'learning remotes' (the ones that accept IR signals from other remotes). i checked my remote collection, heres what i have to work with: cu-cld064 - cld-m301 ld player remote cu-vsx126 pioneer audio/video pre programmed remote control unit cu-vsx096 pioneer for av recievers cu-vsx093 pioneer audio/video stereo reciever remote control unit cu-vsx032 pioneer audio/video programmable remote control unit urc-7800b00 ueic cinema 7 oneforall rc2000 marantz learning remote control someone on craigslist was giving away a nice box of remote controls, i couldnt just let them be thrown out. didnt realize i had so many pioneer remotes, i guess one of them might work. |

the one that came with my player is: CU-CLD084 it has a button that just says: AUDIO so if any of the remotes you have say AUDIO then try it, you will have to use the + and - buttons. they are above the multi speed on my remote. |

cu-vsx126 chapter selection and play / stop/seek buttons worked. but no audio volume worked. cu-vsx096 didnt work at all. cu-vsx093 play / seek/stop / disc change work. no audio changes cu-vsx032 play/stop/seek - no audio changes cu-cld064 has the 'audio' button , but not any multi speed or + - buttons that go with it. the universal remotes send the volume buttons to the tv devices, usually not the laserdisc player. the manual for the 504 (on lddb) does not mention an on screen volume. but i believe you. |

yeah, i'll try to take pictures. i sort of remember the time of these players that had them, but my older players never did and my newer player dosen't have it, so i don't really know why it was even a feature. |

http://www.replacementremotes.com/store ... CLD084.jpg is your remote i think. what does the D-LEVEL CTRL do on your remote? why isnt it in the manual? grumble. http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/pioneer/ has a bunch of codes for each remote control. any chance you have a IR port on your computer? maybe one of the other remotes has the same feature, i'll dig around. this one looks like it, same buttons: http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/co ... 50/page-2/ now to see how to program this marantz remote control. |

O.K. really sorry about the above posts. 1st, the first link you post is the same remote as what i have for my player. 2nd, the AUDIO button will only change the L1 R2 analog etc. the button you need which is actually on the front panel of the player is the D-level control. you press that button and then adjust with the jog wheel higher or lower. that should take care of the clipping issue, OR it's just your speaker/amp setup. good luck. |

there isnt a d-level control button on the front panel of my 504. buttons are as follows: last memory, one touch karaoke, disc side a/b, LD / CD eject, stop/play/ff/rew/pause , quick turn ,display off and there isnt a jog wheel, its a round 5 button (like a dpad) control that looks like it should have been a jog wheel. manf july 1995 what year is yours? |

Well I don't have the player and if the Digital adjust is on the player its maybe on the remote. Press once to active it on the display of the player or on-screen display on the tv. Rotate the dial anti-clockwise until the level reduces. |
