Be it PCM, dd 5.1, or dts 5.1. I know i could record the analog ones, or pcm converted to analog, with a simple red/white to line in cable, but I'd very much like to get the digital audio bit for bit and sycn that to some of my bluray rips that ship with frankly worse tracks, or in the case of the dd 5.1/dts 5.1 near mixes if the laserdisc is lucky enough to have shipped without that nonsense.

Im just not sure where to start. My player has digital coax/spdif output, and my ac3 demodulate has coax and toslink out.

Yes, it's usually pretty straightforward for PCM, but you have to make sure your PC or capture card or whatever isn't resampling the audio. Here's a guide on Fanres, there's a bunch of people that have already captured tons of audio for preservation: https://forum.fanres.com/thread-2742.html

Well at least pcm doesnt seem to bad. Now i just gotta figure out DD/dts 5.1 and i'll be good to go. And maybe find a coax to toslink coverter since it looks like thats all my ld player can do for non ac3 digital out
