Hello!

I finally decided to tackle the "Multi-Audio" issue. This was not treated differently since the beginning.

The hardest part is to split Digital Tracks into Digital Left and Digital Right.
It's been like this from Day 1 for Analog tracks (because it had CX encoding implications) but never done for Digital further than "Bilingual".

I'm working it it now and this is how it will look like when finished.

Same rule will apply for submit/update: do ONLY set Digital Right to the non-default value IF the right track is completely different from the left track.

Will also try to improve the visuals when a disc is belonging to the KARAOKE family to make tracks with or without the singer a little more obvious.

Much appreciated! For discs that are not multi-audio on each side, shall we just specify in a comment?

Yes, for further mixed contents we can still keep it as a comment.

Ex: some Anime are stereo but the last chapter is the opening theme with split karaoke tracks (w/ and w/o lead singing).
We'll consider that the main contents is Stereo and add a note for the extra chapter special case.

I have a CLD-D505. No digital audio output, but it does have AC-3 RF output.

Now, a Japan-release, PILA-1411: Mickey's Greatest Hits...When I popped the disc into the player, I thought it'd only play Japanese audio on the analog track, while the digital track had English audio, but it turned out it was playing only the English audio.

Sounds crazy, but just now I was changing the audio, and it turns out the CLD-D505 outputs every audio track (including the digital tracks) as analog. So, the English audio is on the digital track, and the Japanese audio on analog.

You know, a direct digital output was usually only on higher end player, I don't think it would have made sense to restrict this feature to expensive models only and I think every player made after the democratization of digital audio on LD can output both the analog and digital track through the analog output.

Yeah, that’s on every player. You don’t need a digital out to hear the Digital tracks on any player. In fact digital outs didn’t even exist on LD players with Digital sound at first...for years even, I think. It’s the same way with CD players.

I will at this point remind everyone that LD players all have manuals. Not quick start guides, manuals, that describe every single feature.
