Yeah, I always say that I am going to watch them in order, but i watch them as I get them and that is random as hell.

Well, just bought the BRAZIL BOX, beautiful...and my CRITERION COLLECTION ins´t even near 10% of yours (..I have about 25 now..). It´s not that easy getting these discs here in Europe...I guess that makes me say, European collectors must be more patient and lucky than our american comrades. Does anyone have a clue why Criterion never used CC on their Discs ? I know, we had that discussion somewhere earlier, but I thought CC was mandatory for movies in North-America..

Mandatory closed captioning? Maybe, but if so that just must have just started with bluray. If not, I have a ton of DVDs that are out of compliance.
OP: other than evergreen, what were the hardest titles to come across?

OP: other than evergreen, what were the hardest titles to come across? Olympia, Makioka Sisters and the two Bond ones with the banned commentaries were other hard ones for me. Some others were available but expensive like Armageddon and Evita.

I have picked up a few over the last 12 months. Robocop CC, The Big Chill CC, Armageddon CC, Chasing Amy CC, Do The Right Thing CC, Pulp Fiction CC. So Armageddon was the last Criterion Collection laserdisc as per the list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Cr ... c_releases

chente wrote: I received the Evita box set in today's mail which was the last of the Criterion LD I needed to complete my collection. While I don't have every single edition, I have a least one version of every movie they released, usually the CAV.
I initially got into this format in 2002 to be able to watch the theatrical cut of Blade Runner and for the Orson Welles Othello and Magnificent Ambersons movies not available on DVD. Feels good to finally complete the collection after 10 years.
First: Blade Runner CLV Last: Evita Favorite: Olympia I & II Most Difficult to get: Evergreen Do you have #159 "The Prince of Tides" CC1302L?
