I suppose this surprised me much like Y Tu Mama Tambian. I mean they both seem not for me but I did see "and your mother also" completely but when I had the DVHS I couldn't get far or into watching it. maybe I should give it another chance but moonstruck is a bigger surprise.

but anyway for those that like Ghost Dog to put bluntly why? I'm curious again after first buying it on a whim on DVHS.

I liked it on DVHS, and have not seen the film since I sold my deck.
I do have a Blu-ray of it, but have not watched it yet.

I love this movie. I was surprised a tabletop RPG came out for it this year. (!) My favorite scene is him driving after he steals that car.

I love all the JJ movies. However I also wonder why this one crossed over so much and seems to have so many fans. Anyone who likes Stranger Than Paradise is going to love Ghost Dog but not the other way around!

I love this movie as well....
Gotta second Zeta here.

Jim Jarmusch films rock !
Whitaker was perfect for Ghost Dog.
Love JJ, his directing and storyline telling is unique and original.

I own GD on DvD and truly value it !

Check out "Dead Man" on LaserDisc for another JJ Black and White thrill ride.....

Cheers mates

I have Dead Man but it's a PAL R2 DVD so I've never watched it. Regions suck, DVD sucks.

EDIT: I forgot, I bought my mom a region free Bluray player and gave the movie to her, I still haven't seen it though.

I remember seeing coffee and cigarettes in the theater, it was the worst thing I had ever seen and I was an adult at the time so I know
and knew what good films were.
About 1 month later saw JJ walking the streets, really thought about asking him for my money back since I paid to watch that POS.

A lot of people hate that movie, personally I love it. I also saw it in the theater.

Ghost dog is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen I'm convinced it's really a comedy. The guy is a samurai who sleeps on a roof covered in pigeon sh1t. The way he puts his gun in its holster is embarrassingly hilarious.
