Hi Julien I'll use one as the primary example. This entry: Commando (1985) [1484-80]My copy looks identical for most of what is listed. Except that my barcode reads 0 24543-1484-9. So, my copy doesn't have the 4 at the end. Quite a few of my copies are like this, or with completely different catalog numbers.

Sorry. Should have done this. Reply above. admin wrote: Hello!
Could you provide examples?
Some releases had initially no barcode, they were added later. Some were missing the leading or check digits, sometimes we add them manually and leave a note. Sometimes the barcode reported here was really the local UPC of the store selling them (as a sticker covering the real barcode) and needs to be updated. Etc.

Hi! I'm aware that my response is a bit late, but I would like to chime in. In terms of barcodes, slight differences could potentially make a difference on other collection sites like Discogs. However, I'm not sure about the specifics of this site, so it might be best to reach out to the site administrators or moderators for clarification. As for other areas to look out for, it's always a good idea to check for any differences in the release title, artist name, track listing, and other important details. If there are significant differences, it might be necessary to create a new submission. Also, I wanted to mention that Smart Engines SDK can be a helpful tool for recognizing text and QR codes in images. It could be worth checking out if you need to work with OCR content in your submissions.
