I am a big fan of the CED franchise, I bought my first player back in 1982. I have 8 different players, my first one was an SGT250, the first stereo player. When I first got back into the format, I bought the same player. There are better players, with more bells & whistles, but the SGT250 will always be my favorite. I like the sleek design, the slanted front, everthing about it. The SJT400 is what I use daily, but the SGT250 will always have a special place in my heart:) What about you? Do you have a favorite model? |

I'd say for playing discs, the SKT 400 I recently aquired. Most sentimental is the SGT 200, 1st player I ever got. The one I have used the most in the past is the SJT 200. And lastly, the one that I like for appearance is the Wards GEN 10301, plus it was a ground up restoration job. |

Do you have a favorite model? I started with an RCA SGT200, and then added a Hitachi VIP201P. Later I bought an RCA SJT400. Believe it or not, I prefered the Hitachi over the SJT400. I just got back into the format, so I don't have any players yet. I will probably have my first VHD player before I buy another CED player. STAY AWESOME! |

That's the best of all. Comparable to an Elite in the LD world. If that player is in top shape, your CEDS will look grand on it. I hope it is! |

I watched ebay for quite a few months, then I saw a newly listed one late one night, he had the model number mixed up as "stk400" I verified the model # and bought it for $105 shipped. Just got lucky I guess. |

That was good luck. You saved about $50 or more from what they usually go for at auction. I also sometimes look for PALYER instead of PLAYER, it's a common mistake as well. |

I like the Sears 934.547080150 player I have only because I bought it new in 1983 (you know, your first player). I just recently replaced 2 of the the belts in it and with its nearly new stylus, it plays like new. i have not used it as my main player because of the difficulty of getting a new stylus (this was before I found out about CEDatum). My workhorse player is an RCA SJT-200 that I got about 20 years ago. I like it because of its stereo sound output and the stylus's were easier to find then. I purchased 7 of them for safe keeping. |
