For me, here's my list:
Helter Skelter
The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman
Six-Pack
Sybil
(very small but my list for movies that should have been on CED would be a lot longer)
What's yours?

In the first Pioneer catalog there is only one film that was announced as coming soon but never made it. The Sailor Whoe Fell From Grace From The Sea. It was released on CED though. I just want to see the damn thing.

Night of the Comet

I just got Night of the Comet a few weeks ago.

I think there's between 50 to 100 CEDs not on US released laserdisc, maybe more. Other good ones not on US released LDs are (I'll try it alphabetically):

Avalanche
Baffled
Cross Creek
Defiance
The Earthling
The Final Terror
The Getting of Wisdom
He Knows You're Alone
Incredible Machine/Mysteries of the Mind
Juggernaut
Killer Force
Legend of the Lone Ranger
Megaforce
New Adventures of Zorro
The Oscar
The Pirate Movie
Quick Dog Training (yeah, a bit of a stretch)
Road Games
The Sea Wolves
They Call Me Mr Tibbs
An Unmarried Woman
Visiting Hours
The Washington Affair
(Nothing for X as XTRO is the only CED release under X)
Yes Giorgio
Zero to Sixty

Plenty of good ones there.

There are also some that got released on LD that got chopped. I had the Grover Washington JR. on CED. I was happy to find the LD for it only to find out (when it arrived) it only had 5 tracks/songs on it, compared to 6 songs on the CED.

Fleetwood Mac Mirage tour has Rhiannon on the CED which is not listed as being on the laserdisc edition.

So some songs got chopped off.

If you like Fleetwood Mac, I suggest Fleetwood Mac on Discovision. It has a lot of they're popular songs on it. (However not my favorite, You Make Loving Fun)

I did not realize Endangered Species was not on LD! That surprised me since it was a pretty decent draw in the US when first released, and one of my favorites of the "paranoia anti-government" films that came out in the 70s (and right after), along with Parallax View and Capricorn One. I just got a good copy of the CED.

One music documentary title not issued on any other format other than CED was Mick Fleetwood - The Visitor.
I'd been looking for a copy of this for a long time and finally managed to get one on Ebay late last year.
Now all I need is a CED player!

Buddy Buddy :(

There is a poor transfer DVD available on Amazon but I would have loved to have seen it on Laserdisc.

This is a guess.........
Most likely because it bombed at the box-office.....
I remember seeing Bakshi's LOTR it when I was 14,the place was mostly empty and that was within the first week that it came out in the U.S.
Total shame as it was a magnificent creative work with an all star cast of voice overs.
Made it to DVD though.... LoL !!!

Nice to see this thread get a tag again !

The animated Hobbit and Return of the King have been mentioned........
Sure would have been great to have them issued on LD and sitting on my shelves !

Jacksons version of the Hobbit movies have been long awaited !
First one did not fail to deliver a most wonderful outcome based on the creative genius of many collective minds !
Looking forward to the next two instalments ...............
