While updating info on LDDb, i found these CED's on ebay. CBS/FOX Video releases of Alien and Porky's. Both films are already in the database released by 20th Century Fox, but it appears they were re-issued by CBS/FOX Video as well, Alien in 1982, Porky's has yet to be determined but i suspect it was released in 1983. That is interesting. I have a copy of the CBS/Fox Alien in my collection and thought it was common (per CEDmagic.com). I will have to look up the 20'th Century version to see if the cover art is the same. |

The cover art is almost the same for both Alien and Porky's. The main difference is a large CBS/FOX logo at the top instead of the top 20th Century Fox banner. If you have the CBS/FOX version then perhaps you can submit a picture for Julien. Can you confirm the audio for Alien CBS/FOX CED? I guess it's Stereo. Also can you confirm the UPC? |

The sound is stereo as noted by the label and the caddie's blue color. The UPC is 2454-31090-9. I will post a picture of the front and back when I get a chance and I get good lighting. I bought my copy from Columbia House's CED of the Month Club so it has had maybe 2 or 3 playings tops. |

The original CED of Porky's started out straight with the movie, but later pressings have the grey CBS/Fox Video intro at the beginning. I have 2 copies with the later "CBS/Fox" cover, one has the intro and the other doesn't. Other CED titles on that label (like The Entity) have varying intros as well- one copy has the white and blue opening and another has the later grey one. |
