Very interesting but don't understand why it would have been released. The nice thing about vinyl at the time was the price was super cheap compared to tape or CD. A record would be in the 4-8 range, CDs were 10-13 at the time, tapes were around 5+ from what I can remember as a kid buying the few cassettes we had.

This AHD would have been so expensive at 6800y.
Japan CDs were more like Y3000 then tho

Man. That is pointless. It’s no wonder it’s so unknown.
Yeah, I was like "so this has what benefits over vinyl again?"
I think Techmoan's video did mention something about AHD containing a slideshow so you could still hook it up to a TV and it'd be like CD+G but better picture, but even then it seems kinda pointless. Probably should re-watch this video:
I'm watching the video right now and apparently AHD uses digital PCM audio and this was not only years before CD+G became a thing but JVC was trying to compete with CD with it so I can see why it even existed. This webpage has some additional technical info: http://disclord.tripod.com/vhddiscworld/id12.html
Looks like it only barely came out, hence the shortage of titles.

Although the UK and USA VHD format launch was cancelled, some Demo discs do exist. The film Convoy (1978) [NJL-38609] was on a UK VHD demo disc.
Listing them might spur others to look out for Demo titles that were made for the launch but ultimately not released. There may only be a handful of Demo titles anyway.
Perhaps list them as DEMO discs, with a footnote on UK and USA VHD discs saying 'Format launch for UK / USA was cancelled. Discs were never sold commercially'.
