I have decided to get out of the dvhs game.
Sold about 50 tapes meanwhile. another 50 or so left. the ones remaining are listed in my collection on lddb.

anyway,

have 2 HM-DH5U players fully functional with original remotes and 2 x HM-DH30000U fully functional (one mint in box with all original documentation )
other 30000u has no remote but in working condition.

I am open to reasonable offers shipping not included. so far EU countries are around 27,50 upto 50 euro with post.nl insured and tracked!

Those I do have. Not sure what would be a fair price tbh

Do you have a list? I have a dozen or so HDnet titles, we can probably come up with a fair price on a bundle of few that I don't have.

Managed To sell most of the collection meanwhile.
Surprised about the money they went for actually :wtf:

As much as I loved the format I am happy to see it go with future repair in mind. Haven't had any issues with the player(s) but the day is coming I imagine.
I had a hard time finding some tapes and the player(s) spare parts are not easy to come by in Europe.
I am sure the new owners are more then happy with the stuff they bought.
It's nice knowning someone out there is keeping the format alive
Own all titles I got rid of in other formats like LD, Blu and DVD so I saw little purpose in keeping it around.
Never treasured them like my laserdiscs anyway. Tapes aren't my cup of tea I guess :shh:
Dtheater is a fun format. Top Quality image and sound. Feel lucky I owned it.
Fell in my lap one day, time to move on.

Kept the new 30000 I had sitting in a box along with 5 titles. No dts or 5.1ex with the 30000 but that's where LD comes in ;)
True Lies
The Ninth Gate
Ice age
The Haunting
I robot

couldn't let those go with a player left. better sale one day with a player and some "wanted" titles.
awaiting some of those titles in HD for now...

Hope you guys keep them running  Someone should

It's all gone meanwhile.
Sold the last player along with the 5 tapes.

Another format I parted with after hddvd.

No regrets, Happy to have owned it, enjoyed it.

Sold most of the stuff to serious collectors so it's all in the right hands.
Half a year it took me finding the right buyer(s)
It's all so nice but in the end one can't focus on so many different formats IMHO.
Since I have little to no knowledge about vcr's in general and the actual tapes remain a tape wear related system I decided to pass it on.
I'm sure some fellows out there figure out a way to keep all those gorgeous machines running for years to come.

Gratz, its also fun selling off not just buying as a collector.

While there are some really cool formats out there, I too don't care for tape that much and got rid of most many years ago.
Every now and then I'll pickup an audio cassette tape and would play it on my deck but haven't in years.

Tape is tape and I don't feel in the time we are in there is a place when we have so many disc formats to chose from.

Glad to know they went to collectors rather than the dump, most if they had them wouldn't know what they had and would just toss them.
