Hello!

I just stumbled upon this site when trying to find a place to cataloging my HD DVDs.

I haven't really been collecting that much before, as I got DVDs (which I am currently sellibg off) and Blu-rays aswell. But I just recently started looking into expanding my HD DVD collection.

Anyone else here still collecting HD DVD?

Any tips/ideas for a newbie like me?

Here is my collection so far, with more incoming as i post this:

Rule #1 - Avoid all USA Warner Titles

Especially the combo discs (HDDVD/DVD).

They will rot to death over the years, assuming they're still playable today.

Check:

"Laser Rot" on Warner HD DVDs - a list
Laser Rot on Universal too
Warner rot... and Universal too?

You can remove it yourself by clicking the "report laser rot" again and you can click the trash bin icon.

I just booted up my Toshiba HD-E1 with Full Metal Jacket: Remastered (1987) [118626] and
Departed, The (2006) [Z11 Y11728] for the first time in atleast 5 years with no problems what so ever.

The look and sound of perfect!

The Departed is not a USA release => less risk

Good news for FMJ Remastered, maybe my copy still works as well!
