Post subject:  Can the Xbox 360 HD DVD Addon be hooked up to a 360 E?
I'm considering buying one of these addons to sort of dip my toes in the water of HD DVD at some point, I'm wondering if it's possible to hook it up to an Xbox 360 E?

I don’t know the answer to your question but I do know that HDDVD is a pretty pointless thing to collect. The library is puny and a large amount of it rotted at this point. It would be like collecting LD if LD had died in 1983.

The addon works with S consoles, I have 2x HD-DVD drives and both work fine with Xbox 360 S :)
The E model should be the exactly same, I could verify this myself but the only E I have is packed away right now with some other spare consoles, plus you've edited the OP saying you don't need an answer anyway so I won't bother.

BTW, the older white media remotes (both small and large versions) work fine on S models too.
You don't need to have the later revision (black) media remote.

Just putting this info here in case someone else stumbles across the thread with a similar question.
