Why oh why didn't I take the Blue pill? Answer: Ignorance is bliss...but he took the red pill and woke up to reality and ended the illusion. I sold off my few HD DVD's last year. For some strange reason I miss them. I still have my Xbox drive that I came real close to selling, so it's coming out of the box and it's going to get some new life. I just bought a few HD DVD's and plan on buying some more. They're cheap, usually, people couldn't sell them off quick enough once Blu-ray won so there's a lot of stock out there up for grabs. Thinking about getting as many as I can. I never had a problem with HD DVD. The only problem I see with it now is that it's limited to a few studios, overall low releases and no support for players. I'm not giving up on Blu-ray either. I just have a strange HD DVD craving. Should be an inexpensive way of getting lots of HD content rather quickly. |

The more I think of it, I still have my old Xbox drive, I just have a PS3 and slim drive for computer, I haven't bought a stand alone BD player yet, so I don't know why I even got rid of HD DVD. Got the Blade Runner Ultimate Edition for 28.00. Blu-ray is over 100.00 right now for it. Most are listed on Amazon for .01 with 2.98 shipping, so getting some of those right now. |

Actually, 99% of them are cheaper than the Blu-ray counterpart. Just a few of the final release are more and maybe international ones. I'm thinking I'll run out of HD DVD's to buy after 100-150 titles, the rest probably wouldn't make my catalog. |

Smart collector. Make sure you get the Matrix, You have Blade Runner, get Harry Potter as well. You can pick that up for nothing. The boxed sets! |

Man, HD DVD loads quick! I put in 2001 and it immediately goes right to the movie. No previews no black loading screen, just right down to business like LD's. |

Right, not saying I'm ditching Blu-ray, that'd be crazy, but it's been a long time since I've played an HD DVD. It's just crazy how everyone thought HD DVD would be the winner, including me. I'll admit I wanted them to win. Can't wait to get some more in. Can't wait for Blade Runner Ultimate Edition, I've almost bought it several times. The Blu-ray version is pretty high now, so 28.00 on the HD DVD isn't bad. Hey, by the way, with all those unique items you get, RLV's, glass masters, where did you locate all the stuff? I'm currently looking for a VDM-V130 disc from Pioneer. If you ever see one of those I'd be interested. |

Well, I bought a Pioneer Laser Recorder VDR-V1000 for cheap, but it doesn't have the disc with it. So not a whole lot on the disc. They were used in broadcasting so at one time there were quite a few out there. But they're pretty hard to find now. Here's a pic of one, basically looks like the CRV that Sony had but it's rewritable. I'd be interested in as many that could be found.
