The first three Bourne movies were released on HD DVD, and they all looked good to me. The five-movie UHD set looks great, I think. I am curious of what "true to form Theatrical spec" would mean. Is this one of those "Yoda shot first" or "the color of the phone booth is correct" kind of things? I am a big fan of widescreen versus pan-and-scan, and I can easily see the improvement in UHD over 1080P, but those little scene/color/sound differences (or 1.77:1 versus 1.85:1) never catch my attention without someone showing a close comparison to me. |

The bd’s were heavily DNR’d to death and the later UHD releases even more so. The HDR of the later UHD releases washed out the colors further. Universal is just terrible when it comes to doing proper scans of their films. They just AI enhance and do re-releases every few years. Case in point is the upteen releases of Jurassic Park. |
