is there a paid or free software that can play and rip HD-DVDs on a Win 10 machine?

MakeMKV. You'll need an XBOX HD-DVD player too.

Not technically free. It is while it's in beta. It's great software though, so consider supporting and throwing $50 in to buying a license. :thumbup:

AnyDHD HD still exists, they just changed the name of the software company.
Will be more expensive than 50 bucks for a lifetime license though.
And that license will be invalid if the ownership changes again.

Yes I had their lifetime before. I was pissed when they changed the name said my lifetime subscription is no longer. I made the switch to DVDFab.
