This is a follow-up to: LDDb.com will soon upgrade its hardware server! I've been closely monitoring the new server and it has crashed unexpectedly about 7 times in 2 months. More recent freezes/crashes were 1 and 7 days ago. The server will auto-reboot after 1 hour of downtime but this is not acceptable and might lead to damaged databases quite quickly. Today the server provider was having a flash discounted sale on the higher model. Regular price is 59.79 € MRC (HP, quad core, 16GB RAM, 2TB RAID) but they were selling a small batch at 35.87 € MRC only -- the price of the current, unstable server (DELL, quad core, 8GB RAM 1TB RAID). I ordered the new one and will have until October 31st midnight to move LDDb.com (and other websites/services running on it) to its new server. Luckily, for the previous migration 2 months ago, I wrote an extensive "how to" describing all steps required to setup a new server from scratch. That will come real handy! Julien |

We also passed 15,000 LDs sold through LDDb shops, and are near 40,000 LDs for sale as well. 10,000th transaction should be reached before the end of the year Julien |
