Hello everyone! I've been collecting feedbacks and comments for a few months from high volume sellers, users concerned about the current stream of account leaks happening around, shops users, etc. Here are a few of the interesting comments I received:
These 2 have been already improved:
This one will be very soon (I finished writing the code, I'm in testing mode right now):
Among the other questions I received:
Since I have limited spare time outside of work, let's turn this into a Poll and see which ones are more popular. Feel free to post below to suggest new improvements. Julien |

As much as I depend on, and appreciate this site... When I work a new lot, I find the search function to operate strangely. For instance, search and and you get titles with Anderson, band, wonderland, etc. If I deliberately add leading or trailing spaces I still get the same results. I can find no way to get 'finer' on common combinations. (Seems like very common words like fire, rain, man and such get similar results.) I would also appreciate a search bar on title page that kept same category for next title on my lot, rather than 'wasting' that mouse move/click to get another search box. (I type ABC123 reference number, select LDs, enter to search, select which ABC123 is correct title, look at cover, data - and here have to go back twice, or lddb.com and reselect LD after data input.) I'm sure it seems petty, but in a 200 title lot, the extra strokes really add up, and I bet many of us work the same way). If I could be focused to search box, only enter next reference, hit enter, and autoselect next title (if only 1 existed) that would be sweet! THX for listening |

Hello! Are you never using tabs? Using a single window for browsing is sure to make you travel back and forth quite a bit. I usually do a search then open new tabs on titles I'm interested in, then close them when done and restart from the current search's tab. For usual words, you can use the + and - operators to add or subtract words (aka Boolean query) you need or don't want included, have you tried that? For example "rain' finds tons of hits but "rain +black" will only keep titles that have rain and black (no specific order needed). Also the reference number in the title search is for convenience but you can't mix reference and title (so far) for searching. Julien |

Someone asks for another possible improvement:
That would be a good companion to the order consolidation. Julien |

edwin240170 wrote: Maybe another one : See more than 12 LDs at sale on a page, preferably selectable like ebay? Indeed the 12 was arbitrary so it will fit in a bigger IFRAME without the need for a up/down slider on the side. What I had in mind was to stop using IFRAME (static embedded contents) completely and move to full AJAX (= dynamic) list views. This way I can make the views much more flexible with the screen adapting in size automatically. That could be tested with an improved inventory based on these principles but will require some substantial code rewriting. Julien |

I do a lot of trading. The LDDB wishlist is my "wishlist of record" that changes as I add or subtract items. When I dig up a goodie and offer it for trade, it would be a lot easier to provide a link to my "living" wishlist than to export and send it every time I offer a trade deal. It could be the same code, just show or hide columns like Max$, Condition, Available based on whether the "authenticated" flag is set. Whether public wishlist is viewable can be set with a flag under account settings, so that if someone doesn't want a public wishlist they could opt to hide it altogether. admin wrote: shinchan wrote: Ability to share wishlist as a web page (as opposed to export). Hello! Concerning the possibility to add multiple images to a release, I made one step in that direction to anticipate adding "Galleries" of pictures to navigate through: https://forum.lddb.com/viewtopic.php?p=79334#p79334 Julien |

And now testing to replace Fancybox v1 with Fancybox v2 to display gallery ahead in a more convenient way. Attachment: [Update] I'm done testing, it's live! Julien |

Still playing with multiple pictures, here is a working example: Rush: Exit... Stage Left (1981) [VALJ-3274] Could you tell me if the multiple "extra" pictures are working as expected for you and if they flow nicely? Julien |

Since Adobe Flash is going to be fully extinct soon, my little iCover App will have to follow the same path. I tried to find HTML5/CSS/Javascript only similar coverflows but they just don't look very good and are visually very slow. Trying a totally different approach by customizing this online example. It could look like this: Attachment: The controls are a little jumpy with too many scrolling but I'm trying to tune it to my taste. Julien |
